- Specific Learning Disorders (e.g., dyslexia/dyscalculia)
- Cognitive Weaknesses/Barriers
- Cognitive Inconsistencies
It is important to consider that, it is the specific constellation of cognitive/academic development that allows us to provide optimal direction to help a student reach their potential. For example, if a student is known to be a struggling speller, this does not necessarily mean that their spelling skills should be the area of emphasis. It is extremely important to not only understand what will lead to the best outcomes, but also the rationale behind forming these conclusions.
